Moon in June

Wowza. I am so bad at this keeping stuff up nonsense.

June 7th, there was another full moon, and I actually succeeded! a bit over 3K for a 3K goal. Yay me!

I'm leaving for all of July soon, and I'm sure I'm not going to catch up till August (or later...). Ah well. I'm hoping to reorganize myself at the very least.

Starting a new YA Romance/Coming of Age/Deepish story today. I'll update when I really know what's going on with it.

EDIT: I did a "Random Word Count Challenge" for 390. I managed to hit that exactly. I'll probably do another one before the day is out.

Catch Up

My, my, my. How the time flies. I suppose I'd better give a little update on my writing progress for this year.

Screnzy: I won with 106 pages! Huzzah! I haven't actually finished the script yet, but I'm so proud of myself. Because this is another thing to check off of my BFS list!

Wri Ye: It was Full Moon Madness last Saturday, and I failed dismally at my goal of 5K. I got about 1,200 which was enough to get me back on track to reach 150K by December 31st. 

Right now I'm at 56,251 words which is 5 days ahead. It feels good.

Holy Moon!

It's a full moon tonight, so you know what that means: FULL MOON MADNESS

I signed up for 5K this go around. That's right. 4K more than my usual, but I'm on spring break and though why not?

I got that plus 64 words. I feel so accomplished right now. I am also on page 82 for SXU not even counting the PDF boost. 18 more pages! I am so close to winning I know I'm going to make it there by Easter, and then I won't have to worry at all about it for the rest of the month. 

The only set back it that I am only at point 12 out of 19 (I have been writing chronologically, but not well. I'm going to need to edit this thing with a hacksaw). There is no way I'm going to get past point 13 when I hit the 100 page mark. Now I know there is no rule saying I can't keep going, I just feel like I will run out of two things: steam and time. But whatever, I will have finally won, which will cross off one of the things on my BFS List.

Speaking of which: I got my ACT scores back today (finally! everyone else got them like a week ago). I am proud to say that, without studying mind you, I got a fabulous score. I am also signed up to take it again in June, so hopefully I can get an even better one. SAT's in May, and who knows how that will go (the Saturday before APs! Why am I so dumb?). Also winging that one, except that I do the SAT question of the day everyday, which may or may not count as preparation. 

WriDay #2

Yesterday was the second WriDay over at WriYe. I signed up for 5K, not only because it was the smalest amount I could sign up for but also because I was wickedly behind on SXU, my Screnzy project. 

I managed to get caught up on SXU sometime in the middle of the afternoon, but I was still about 2K behind for WriDay. I then had tickets to go see a musical so I couldn't just keep working and didn't get home until eleven.  

So I wrote like I had no idea how to spell or type or anything and managed to hit 5,157 one minute before midnight. 

I'm planning on doing some homework and then writing as much as I can today and the rest of the week (I have vacation this week). I'm hoping to finish Screnzy this week so I can concentrate on my work. I should be able to, considering I wrote 20 pages yesterday alone (giving me a total of 25).

Screnzy in 3, 2, 1!

So Script Frenzy starts tomorrow. I'm pretty sure I have my story as planned as it's going to get without actually writing it, so that's all good (that planning is going to be counted in my March word count total, which, again, failed miserably). I just wish that I had gotten my act together and created a soundtrack for it. That would have been awesome. Ah well, what's spring break for then, eh?

...that's just sad. Word count yet to be determined. Probably something like 5K. Ugh. And to top that all off I got into a theater camp that will keep me busy all of July! Nada writing time for me then. When am I ever going to catch up?

Not gonna be too ambitious here. I might start on some Lleynn or Rose/Scorpius stuff if I get inspired and/or have more time. But probably not.

Full Moon

I got 1 011 words this Full Moon Madness. I haven't added this to my previous totals, but I'm guessing I have something in the range of 21K and perhaps 2K for this month. I wrote a something hundred work essay for the ACT this morning that I really wish I could add to the world count total, but unfortunately that's probably in the mail heading off to some godforsaken grading facility in who knows where.

In other writing news, I wrote 3 pages of an essay for school that need to be typed so they can be added to the totals and I did some planning for Screnzy in the SXU-verse. I may or may not count those, depending on how dismal my totals turn out to be. I still need to finish the aforementioned projects and then write a really important paper for physics. I have no idea how I am planning on catching up with my goals at this point. If I'm lucky I'll get in to a theater camp that takes up five weeks of my summer, which could seriously take away from writing time.

February Wrap Up

Saying it didn't go well would be an understatement. There is no way I reached my goal of...I don't even remember what it was. 11,500. Yea, no way I got that.

Total Word Count: 18,229

February Word Count: 4,864

March Word Count Goal: 20K

I'm being overly ambitious for March, but if I do reach that goal then I will be all caught up. I also have a nice paper in there, plus some unfinished stuff from the previous verification period that should have at least 1.5K in it. Plus I need to start planning for Screnzy in April! Ahh so soon. 

Full Moon Madness is March 10th, and once again I have signed up for 1K.
